                FTP stand for file transfer protocol which is used to transfer data from one computer to another computer through internet link, or  through network. specially, FTP is a commonly used protocol for exchanging file ,document ,information over any network that supports the TCP?IP protocols.There are two computer s involved in an FTP transfer a server and a client.The FTP server running FTP server software,listens on the network for connection  request from other computers.
