IP ADDRESS

Every machine(PC) on the Internet has a unique number   assigned to it, called an IP address.
Without a unique IP address on your machine, you will not be able to communicate with other devices,
Users and computers on the Internet. You can look at your IP address as if it were a telephone number,
each one being unique and used to identify a way to reach you and only you.

    The Address Itself

How to Bypass BIOS Passwords

BIOS passwords can give extra layer of security for desktop and laptop computers. They are used to either prevent a user from changing the BIOS settings or to prevent the PC from booting without a password. Unfortunately, BIOS passwords can also be a liability if a user forgets their password, or changes the password to intentionally lock out the corporate IT department. Sending the unit back to the manufacturer to have the BIOS reset can be expensive and is usually not covered in the warranty. Never fear, all is not lost. There are a few known backdoor and other tricks of the trade that can be used to bypass or reset the BIOS

How To Boot windows Xp Faster

First of all, this tweak only apply to those who only have one HDD on their primary IDE channel and a CD-ROM and/or DVD-ROM on the secondary IDE channel. Each time you boot Windows XP, there's an updated file called NTOSBOOT-*.pf who appears in your prefetch directory (%SystemRoot%Prefetch) and there's no need to erase any other files as the new prefetch option in windows XP really improves loading time of installed programs. We only want Windows Xp to boot faster and not decrease its performance.

Follow the given below step ........
1. Open notepad.exe, type "del c:windowsprefetch tosboot-*.* /q" (without the quotes) & save as "ntosboot.bat" in c:

Registry Hacks:

Here are some of the Registry tips that you must try once
Auto Sort Start Menu
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder
Go to Edit/Permissions, click Advanced, clear the "Inherit From Parent" check box, click Copy from the dialog box, click OK and then clear the "Full Control" for your account and now Windows will autp sort the start menu, but you can still do it too

Disable User Tracking
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Add or Edit DWORD = NoInstrumentation, Value = 1
Disables Windows user tracking; better performance, much better privacy

What is the Registry?

The Registry is a database used to store settings and options for the 32 bit versions of Microsoft Windows including Windows 95, 98, ME and NT/2000. It contains information and settings for all the hardware, software, users, and preferences of the PC. Whenever a user makes changes to a Control Panel settings, or File Associations, System Policies, or installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in the Registry.

The physical files that make up the registry are stored differently depending on your version of Windows; under Windows 95 & 98 it is contained in two hidden files in your Windows directory, called USER.DAT and SYSTEM.DAT, for Windows Me there is an additional CLASSES.DAT file, while under Windows NT/2000 the files are contained seperately in the %SystemRoot%\System32\Config directory. You can not edit these files directly, you must use a tool commonly known as a "Registry Editor" to make any changes (using registry editors will be discussed later in the article).

23 Ways To Speed up Boot Time of Windows xp

Here are 23 suggestions that will. Each can enhance the performance and reliability of your  PCs.

1.) To decrease a system's boot time and increase system performance, use  the built-in Windows defragmentation works just fine -- and instead equip the computer with an Ultra-133 or Serial ATA hard drive with 8-MB cache buffer.

2.) If a PC has less than 512 MB of RAM, add more memory. This is a relatively inexpensive and easy upgrade that can dramatically improve system performance.

3.) Ensure that Windows XP is utilizing the NTFS file system. If you're not sure, here's how to check: First, double-click the My Computer icon, right-click on the C: Drive, then select Properties. Next, examine the File System type; if it says FAT32, then back-up any important data. Next, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK. At the prompt, type CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS and press the Enter key.

10 reasons why PCs crash U must Know

Here are some of the main reason why PCs crash

1 Hardware conflict

The number one reason why Windows crashes is hardware conflict. Each hardware device communicates to other devices through an interrupt request channel (IRQ). These are supposed to be unique for each device.

For example, a printer usually connects internally on IRQ 7. The keyboard usually uses IRQ 1 and the floppy disk drive IRQ 6. Each device will try to hog a single IRQ for itself.

If there are a lot of devices, or if they are not installed properly, two of them may end up sharing the same IRQ number. When the user tries to use both devices at the same time, a crash can happen. The way to check if your computer has a hardware conflict is through the following route:

* Start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Device Manager.

What is LTE?

LTE stand for Long Term Evolution, is the next generation of Mobile broadband technology. It is the next level after 3G technology, and is also marketed as 4G LTE. It is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals. It is based on the GSM /EDGE network technologies, increasing the capacity and speed using a different radio interface together with core network improvements.

What is VOIP?

VOIP stands for Voice Over Internet protocol, is a protocol used for the transmission of voice through the Internet .VoIP refers to a way to carry phone calls over an internet protocol  data network, whether on the Internet or your own internal network. A primary attraction of VoIP is its ability to help reduce expenses because telephone calls travel over the data network rather than the phone company's network.
